The great Tollywood producer Ramanaidu died on 18th February 2015.Today is his 4th Death Anniversary.

Few lines about D.Ramanaidu:-

Daggubati Ramanaidu  born at Karamchedu in Prakasam District of  Andhra Pradesh  on June 6th in 1936. His parents were Daggupati Venkateswarulu and Devamma. He was married to Rajeswari on Nov 13th in the year 1958. This couple has three children, two sons and one daughter.

His elder son D Suresh Babu is a producer and he runs one of the most popular production house “Suresh Productions”. His second son, D Venkatesh is a popular actor of the Tollywood and his eldest grandson D Rana is an established actor. His daughter was married to a popular actor A Nagarjuna and their son A Naga Chaitanya is also an actor.

He started his film career as a producer (joint venture) with the movie Anuragam in the year 1963, but it couldn’t do well at box office. His first film as independent producer on his own banner Suresh Productions is ‘Ramudu Bheemudu’ starring N T Rama Rao in dual role released in the year 1964, which was a blockbuster.

The story of Ramudu Bheemudu was a base for many movies with almost similar story.

He produced nearly 130 movies. He introduced many actors and actress to the film industry. He introduced his son D Venkatesh to the Tollywood through the movie Kaliyuga Pandavulu in the year 1987.

He introduced the Director E V V Satyanarayana’s both son’s Aryan Rajesh and Allari Naresh through his films Hai(2002) and Allari (2002). He was a great producer and even he directed some movies and acted in small roles in some pictures. Ramanaidu was the owner of  Rama Naidu Studios, dubbing theaters at  Hyderabad and Visakhapatnam. He produced even some movies in Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, Kanada and Bengali languages.

He was listed as the best producer by ‘The Guinness Book of World Records’ for producing 130 movies.

He is also the only Indian Producer to have produced feature films in 13 languages.

Some of his movies like Ramudu Bheemudu, Sri Krishna Tulabaram, Papa Kosam, Prem Nagar,  Soggadu, Secratry, Ahana Pellanta, etc. are ever green movies produced by him.

He was honored with NTR National award in the year 2010.

He was honored with prestegious Padmabhushan in the year 2012.
