Jandyala Subramanya Sastry popularly known as ‘Jandyala’ was a famous writer and director of Tollywood.

Jandhyala born on 14th August 1950 at Narsapur town in Krishna District of Andhra Pradesh.

He was a Commerce Graduate from Vijayawada.

He was a story, dialogue writer for stage plays.

Jandyala was introduced to the film industry by the the famous actor Gummadi.

Initially he worked as a writer for many movies directed by K.Vishwanath.

Later he became a director with his first movie being Muddamandaram released in the year 1981.

He became a popular director  with comedy movies in Telugu

He introduced the popular comedians Bramanandam, Sutthi Veera Bhadra Rao, Sutthi Velu to the film industry with his movies

His movie ‘Srivariki Premalekha became an all time comedy film.

His film ‘Ananda Bhairavi’ was a milestone in his career and won him many awards.

He was also popularly known as ’Hasya Bramha’.
