Movie Theaters to Reopen in China
The movie theaters in China were closed due to Covid 19 since 23rd January 2020.
The Film Administration of China has decided to reopen theaters for regular screening in selected areas on 20th July 2020. Multiplexes in Middle and high risk regions will remain closed.
Many safety measures are stipulated for the screening. As per the new rule there is a cut of 30% in seating capacity and 50% cut in number of screenings per day.
wearing masks will be mandatory and the viewers temperatures to be checked. Thorough sanitation is a must. the run time of the screening movie should not be more than 120 minutes duration.
The sale of tickets will be in advance and will be through digital platforms.
The lists of movies, the theaters and the regions permitted for screening are not yet announced.
