Tell us about yourself and your family

I am born in Eluru and studied till 9th standard there, Then we shifted to Hyderabad and I had completed my graduation in B.com Computers. My father is a businessman and my mother is an housewife. I have one elder brother, who is well settled in U S. They supported me a lot to be what I am today in the industry.

How did you enter into film industry?

I wanted to be an actor right from my intermediate, when I started to think about a career I opted for acting as I am passionate towards acting.

Prior to entry you had any training programmes in acting and dance?

I took training in acting in Film and Television Institute of Andhra Pradesh at Manikonda, Hyderabad.  Jr. NTR, Kajal Agarwal and Ileana were also trained in the same institute. This course helped me in improving my screen presence.

Your initial experience facing the camera for the first time?

I never felt new or tensed facing  the camera for my first shot. My first movie did not fare well. I struggled a lot for about 5 years to retain a place in the industry. Then I got a breakthrough through with Avasarala Srinivas directorial debut movie ‘Oohalu Gusa Gusalade’.

Among the two films you have worked,  with which director you were comfortable?

I am lucky to have worked with good directors till now, Both of them helped me a lot to improve my acting skills. I feel very lucky to have shared screen space with senior actors like Naresh and Manchu Lakshmi in ‘Chandamama Kathalu’ movie. We all got equal screen time of 18 minutes in that movie. My character in this movie is appreciated by critics also.

your mentor in the industry?

Avasarala Srinivas is my friend, mentor and a guide in the industry. He supported me a lot in many aspects.

Your role model in acting?

I like Nagarjuna, but my role model in action is Jr. NTR.

Your dream role?

I like the role played by Nagarjuna in the movie ‘Ninne Pelladutha’. I feel that no one can do justice to that character even today expect Nagarjuna.

Your character in the movie?

My character is named as Sai in the movie and my character resembles ‘Life’. It is a combination of joy, sorrow and bonding. My character is the center point and it is a connecting point to all the characters in the movie.

Few words about your co-star Avika Gor in the movie ‘Lakshmi Raave Maa Intiki’

She is a very good actress. I feel that she is blessed with much acting talent as she can express any emotion with ease on screen. She is a good co-star. Though she could not understand Telugu,She used to get her involved in the role she played.

In the two movies(Ooohalu Gusa Gusalade and Dikkulu Choodaku Ramayya) you had a special role like much  bonding with the mother character, you have same kind of relation with your mother in real life?

I am very close to my mother, my mother and I bond like friends we even some times fight with each other and share everything with each other. Among many reasons, the main reason for which ‘Lakshmi Rave Maa Intiki’ movie is special for me is that my mother launched the audio CD.

Any memorable moment which you would like to mention during shooting.

The shootings of ‘Lakshmi Raave Maa Intiki’ and ‘Dikkulu Choodaku Ramayyah’ were going simultaneously, In ‘Lakshmi Raave Maa Intiki’ I fancied with a  beard and in ‘Dikkulu Choodaku Ramayyah’ my character has a clean shave. Once,I stepped in to the sets of ‘Lakshmi Rave Maa Intiki’’with clean shave and  everyone were saying that how different and fair I was looking in a clean shave.

Tell us about the music of this movie

Music in this movie is very good. Background score and R R have come out very well.
