Singeetam Srinivasa Rao is a popular film director of Tollywood.
Mr.Rao is born on 21st September 1931 at Udsayagiri,Nellore District of Andhra Pradesh.
He directed many films in south Indian Languages.
Before starting his film career, he wrote for magazines such as ‘Bharathi”..
His first directorial film in Telugu was “Neethi Nijayathi” in 1972.
He directed many movies including Pushpak, Mayuri, Taram Marindi, Adithya369, Bhairava Dweepam.
He worked as a assistant director to K.V.Reddy and Harindranath Chattopadhyay.
He won many awards for his movies which include Nandi Award, National Awards, and L.V.Prasad Awards.
His movie Pushpak (a mime) stands out to be great experiment in Indian Film History.
He also directed an English Animated film”Son Of Aladdin” which had 1100 shots and 125 Characters.
He directed nearly 60 films in Several Languages.
