Exclusive interview of Actress Samskruthy Shenoy
Actress Samskruthy Shenoy is debuting in Tollywood with the movie ‘Hrudayam Ekkadunnadi’ produced by Kriti Media and directed by debutant director Vi Anand. Tell us about yourself?
I was born on November 22nd in Ernakulam and my father Dr. Govind Raj Shenoy is a doctor and my mother T.A.Vidya is a homemaker. I studied in Saraswathi Vidyanikethan Public School in Kochi. I am trained in Bharatnatyam, Mohiniyattom and contemporary Indian dances. I have participated in inter-school dance and music competitions and have consistently won prizes in different age group events.
Acting was your passion or you came into the industry accidentally?
I watched Actress Shobhana present ‘Krishna’ in a dance drama and had made up my mind to pursue acting profession.
How did you get chance to act in the movie ‘Hrudayam Ekkadunnadi’?
Director VI Anand saw my dance videos and approached my Dad. Both I and the director went on convincing my Dad. As I am the only daughter, my Dad could not see me upset and he accepted the proposal.
What was your experience when you faced camera for the first time?
Actually I am a little shy in nature in my real life but on stage I feel comfortable as I do dance performances. On first day of shoot I was to do a duet song and I was little nervous, but the director and the entire team was very supportive and made me comfortable.
What is your dream role?
I want to do different kinds of roles and not stereotype roles as the audience will get bored. I have to learn a lot and go a long way in this profession.
If not acting what other profession you would like to opt for?
I would be a dancer.
Tell us about the director VI Anand?
He is really supportive and patient .He narrates the story and tells us things in an attractive manner so that we could do it easily. This made things easy.
Tell us about your role in the movie ‘Hrudayam Eddakunnadi’?
My character name in the movie is Nitya, she is a calm and composed girl. She is a freelance fashion designer. She is an ideal girl any man will wish to have in his life. Anyone who meets that girl will fall in love with her.
What is your opinion about Tollywood?
I like Telugu industry and I like to do more Telugu movies in future. Hyderabad is really nice and the people here are very supportive. They encourage us in what we do.
