The cast of Rayan were asked not to “over-prepare”: Aparna Balamurali
Singer, Entrepreneur and Actor, Aparna Balamurali has played a character “Meghala” in the upcoming movie, “Raayan”. She has shared her experience on the sets of the Raayan, which marks Dhanush’s second directorial.
In an interview with Cinema Express, she said that “Meghala” is unlike any other character she has played before, the character is raw and has an essence of North Chennai.
She has also revealed that Dhanush did not want the actors to over prepare for a scene and he encouraged the actors to let it flow organically.
As she cannot read Tamil, Dhanush had given her a script written in English along with the slang to be pronounced with.
Raayan is all set to release on 26th July. The film features Dhanush, S.J.Surya, Sundeep Kishan, Kalidas Jayaram, Selvaraghavan, Prakash Raj, Dushara Vijayan, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar and Aparna Balamurali. It’s an A.R.Rahman Musical.
