Daaku Maharaj Movie Review
Emotional Engagement Emoji
Plot
An Engineer takes the path of one of the heroes in the history of Chambal(a fictional character) called Daaku Maharaj in the process of standing up for a cause against the system controlled by local goons. The ups and downs the hero faces during this process and the characters that he comes across forms the crux of the story.
Review
It is a routine story with some twists added in the process to make it look fresh and new. Balakrishna delivers yet another good performance and carries the story on his shoulders being the saving grace of the movie . A lot of irrelevant scenes and comedy that falls flat make a lot of scenes boring . There are not many punch dialogues except one or two here and there that create an impact.Bobby Deol is given a grand rich look and does justice to his role in the movie. Urvashi Routela plays a cameo and is mainly in the movie for the much discussed Dabidi Dibidi song. Ravi Kishan , Shine Tom Chako , Shraddha Srinath , Pragya Jaiswal , Chandini Choudary , Sachin Khedekar are all seen in small cameos and do justice to their roles . Makrand Deshpande and Ravi Kale deliver impacting performances as a part of the Daaku’s army. The background scores and the song given by Thaman are the stand out and are successful in highlighting Balayya’s power packed performance . The action sequences are raw and quite similar to what a viewer is used to see in Balayya’s movies .
Verdict
Overall the movie keeps the audience interested for the initial stage and then slowly gets boring with not much story to be shown. It is a one time watch for Balayya’s fans.
