Premistava Movie Review
Emotional Engagement Emoji
Premistava is the journey of how a guy and a girl who study in the same college fall in love with each other and the challenges they face in life going forward . How the dynamics of their relationship change and the way they handle the challenges and how their relationship ends up in this process forms the story.
The screenplay mainly focuses on showing the challenges that the couple face after they fall in love and the scenes are arranged accordingly. There is a murder mystery angle also to this story and a significant part of the movie’s runtime is dedicated to it .
The movie is not so engaging and the intensity between the couple that the director tried to portray through some one on one scenes between the male and female lead does not reach the audience . This movie is a classic example of how it becomes challenging to engage an audience when the movie fails to start in an engaging manner especially when a story with many twists and turns is being shown . The music is ok and just manages to keep the movie going and is not what the audience expect from a big name like Yuvan Shankar Raja. Both the lead actors Akash Murali and Aditi Shankar have put in a lot of efforts which are clearly evident on screen but they do not reach the kind of performance the story demands. Kalki Koechlin and Daggubati Ramesh are seen in interesting roles and are by far the best performers in the movie. Sharat Kumar and Khushbu are casted in major roles as per the story but they do not have much screen time in the movie and they entertain in whatever scenes they are shown.A significant part of the movie is shot in Portugal where some good visuals are shown but this too does not have much impact on the audience with respect to supporting the story.
Verdict : The movie has a complicated story with a screenplay that cannot engage the audience . It is not worth watching in theater.
