Mirchi Music Awards South 2012 were presented on Friday at Chennai Trade Centre, Chennai. The awards were presented to the winners for different categories. A.R.Rehman received the ‘Global Music Icon’ award from the hands of Music director Koti . S.P.Balasubramanyam was awarded ‘Sangeetha Samrat’ and Veteran singer Jamuna Rani was felicitated with ‘Lifetime Achievement Award’. ‘Gabbar Singh’ movie topped the list with five awards. Suresh Babu,Nani Ramana Gogula, Sunitha, Rand and several other prominent celebrities from South Indian Film Industry have graced the occasion.
