Production manager is responsible for getting the call sheets of all actors as per the Shooting Schedule. He has to Book/Reserve Locations as per the dates of the shooting. He has to arrange Conveyance / Accommodation (Where ever required) for actors and all other members of the production team. Production manager has to follow and see that actors/technical members are attending to shooting as per the Schedule.
The responsibility of production department which comes under administrative department is serving all the catering needs during shooting. They have to arrange Catering as per the member’s availability on each day of Shooting Schedule.
The general works that has to be done by administrative department are:-
- To arrange Raw Film.
- Shot Films are to be handed over for Processing on each day after completion of the Shooting.
- To arrange for Editing Table.
- To arrange Venues and other facilities required for Press Meet, Audio Release.
- To monitor with different members of the Technical Team in arranging the materials required for the day to day shooting.
- To arrange Cameras/Lights/Reflectors/Camera lenses/Cranes/Generators for shooting as per the advice of cameraman and director.
- To arrange Dubbing Artistes/Dubbing Studio with Editor.
- To arrange Preview Theatre after the Film is ready for Release. All the above arrangements are done by the Production Manager as per the acceptance of the Director.
Film-Office: This office works before, during and after the shooting. Here the complete planning of the film making is done. All business transactions are done here. The director, producer, production manager along with the assistant directors does all the scoop work required for making the film. A cashier, office manager manage the office.
