Adurthi Subba Rao was one of the great film directors of Telugu film industry.
Mr.Rao born on 16th December in the year 1912 at Rajahmundry in East Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh.
He introduced Super Star ‘Krishna’ to the film industry through his film’Tene Manasulu’.
With the interest in movies he joined a film institute for learning Photography.
He also learnt Film editing.
He introduced the great music director K.V.Mahadevan to the telugu film industry with his film Manchi Manushulu
The great film director K.Vishwanath was his Assistant Director.
He also introduced actor Sharath Babu and actress Pramila Rani with his film Sudigundalu
Almost all the movies directed by Adurthi Subba Rao were musical hits.
The evergreen hero Akkineni Nageswar Rao of Telugu film industry acted in 14 films under the direction of Adurthi Subba Rao. Most of the movies directed by him were Box Office hits.
