Anil Raj Polavarapu (Actor)
Anil Raj, who made his debut from the movie “Govinda Govinda” as a child artist in 1993, is now looking forward to act in lead role movies.
Can you brief us about you?
My birth place is Amalapuram and my native is vizag. I completed my 10th & intermediate from St.Marys, Hyderabad. Currently i am pursuing business managment course from IIHM.
My first movie was “Govinda Govinda” with Ram gopal varma. I was the youngest Karate black belt and Limca book of World record holder. At that time Ramgopal Varma was shooting for his movie in Vizag. Meanwhile he read about me in a news paper and approached my parents meke me to act in the movie.
During the shoot of “Govinda Govinda” I met raghavender rao, he gave me a chance for his next 3 movies Allari Premikudu, Muddula Priyudu, Raja Simham . Like this my journey began in tollywood.
How was your experience working with stars like Nagarjuna and Sridevi?
I was just 4 years old at that time. I don’t remember much, but as a part of realization now I feel how lucky I was. Nagarjuna & Sridevi treated me very well they were very friendly to me, that’s all I remember.
After that movie did you ever met Nagarjuna or Sridevi?
Yes. I met “Sridevi” 4 years back and recently met with “Nagarjuna” & other stars also like “Venkatesh, Jagapati babu”.
What is basic field of interest?
I’m passionate about acting. After doing movies in childhood, I’m looking for projects. I am not that much interested in studies or business.
Do you have any interest working in TV shows?
No I don’t have any interest to do TV shows or any other shows. I am concentrating on Movies completely.
As you said you are interested in acting & you will get a good platform to reach the large number of audience through T.V, so why are you neglecting that?
Actually I made entry into big screens. During childhood I already worked in 3 serials. So not negligence, just I am waiting for a right chance to be a star again.
If you got an opportunity to do reality show what will be your response?
Well it depends on what kind of show it is, if the show is really worthy and helps me to improve my carrier then I would like to step forward.
What are your upcoming movies?
Right now am concentrating on my studies. Once I complete my studies I’ll approach the directors. When I was in 10th class I got offer to do teenage roles in some movies but I didn’t like the role. Currently I got 2-3 projects, can’t disclose them right now. Once finalized, I’ll start working on them.
What kind of roles you are looking forward to do?
Well I can’t say which role suits me the best. I am known as child artist, but now I am looking forward to prove myself as an actor. Any role I can do which suits me and brings me name & fame in the industry.
If you are offered a very small role in a movie, will you go for it?
Basically am looking for roles which will get me a good name. The length of the role doesn’t matters for me, but it should be a good one. People should remember me & my role in the movie for a long time.
What kind of groundwork you are doing to get back into industry?
During childhood My dad use to teach me how to act. But when it comes to mature characters I need to prepare myself. So I took a course regarding acting in “theatre fox”, vizag.
Would you like to suggest something to the fresher’s who want to make an entry in this field?
In present world everyone wants to be a celebrity, but the right passion & potential towards acting is important.
