Balakrishna Misses Sankranthi, Fans Feels His Absence.
This Sankranti season feels a bit different because Balakrishna, affectionately known as Balayya, isn’t gracing the screen with a movie this time. Traditionally, he’s been the lone star in Telugu cinema to light up the festival with over 10 movie releases during Sankranti. Families and fans, who eagerly anticipate his films during this festive time, will surely miss the experience this year
It all started back in the year 2000 with “Vamsoddharakudu” on January 14th, and since then, Balayya has been treating audiences with memorable Sankranti releases like “Narasimhanaidu,” “Seemasimham,” “Lakshminarasimha,” and “Okka Magadu.”
Through the years, he continued the tradition, presenting films like “Parama Veera Chakra,” “Dictator,” and the grand historical epic “Gauthamiputra Satakarni.” More recently, we enjoyed “Jai Simha,” “NTR Kathanayakudu,” and the latest addition, “Veera Simha Reddy,” released on January 12, 2023.
However, this Sankranti season stands out as an exception, with no Balayya film hitting the screens. As families and fans gather to celebrate the festival, the absence of a Balakrishna movie adds a unique note to the festivities, leaving a void in the customary joy associated with his Sankranti releases. Irrespective of box office performance, audiences will always eagerly await and look forward to Balayya’s films, emphasizing the enduring and special connection between the actor and his fans
