The Indian cinema is celebrating the 100 year completion.Telugu cinema is completing 82 years of its first release of Bhaktha Prahlada(1931).As part of celebrations of Indian Cinema, businessoftollywood.com remembers and recollects the information of The Greats of Early Telugu Cinema 
Sattiraju Lakshmi Narayana, popularly known as Bapu is a great FilmDirector of Telugu Cinema.
Bapu  born on 15th December 1933 at Narsapur town in Andhra Pradesh.
He is a Law Graduate from Madras University.
He is a great Artist and started his career as a political Cartoonist for the newspaper Andhra Patrika in the year 1945.
Bapu introduced a painting style of simple colours. Bapu has even introduced a new style of cursive writing in Telugu.
The most notable achievement in Bapu’s movie making in his success in capturing the nativity of the Telugu people and translating it into visuals.
Most of his movies are based on the real family issues
Bapu met Mullapudi Venkata Ramana in the year 1942.
Bapu-Ramana are the most popular pair in the Telugu Film Industry.
He started his career as director with his first movie ‘Sakshi’ inthe year 1967.
His first movie was a block buster at box office. It was a big hit.
His Mythological movies such as ‘Sampoorna Ramayanam’,”Sita Kalyanam’ and his recent movie”Sri Ramarajyam”are evergreen movies in the Telugu Cinema
His first movie”Sakshi” was screened at Tashkent Film Festival n the year 1968.
His movie”Sita Kalyanam” was screened at BFI London Film Festival and Chicago Film Festival in the year 1978.
His movie Tyagayya was screened at Indian Panorama of International Film Festival of India in the year 1982.
His recent movie Sri Rama Rajyam had a special screening at International Film Festival of India in the year 2011
