Brahma Anandam Movie Review

Emotional Engagement Emoji

I was one of the eager viewers who was curious about how the movie ‘Brahma Nandam’ would turn out. After watching the trailer, I found it quite interesting and decided to attend the preview show. After watching the movie, my opinion is this: first, let’s talk about the positives. The comedy in the first half was quite fresh and new. The actors’ performances showed a certain ease. Having gotten used to the kind of comedy from ‘Jabardasth,’ this fresh feel was quite enjoyable. However, starting from the second half, I was expecting the main emotional content to be strong, but it turned out to be quite weak. As a result, the emotional story conflict failed to keep the audience engaged.

The main issue in the movie revolves around the thoughts of two elderly people who wish to get married in their old age. The film spins this idea in different ways as they seek help from the lead roles. After enjoying the first half, the audience will likely feel the second half is average. The director’s handling of the story could have been much better. The highlight of the movie is the comedy writing and the performances by Gautam, Vennela Kishore, and Prabhakar’s daughter. Other than that, there is not much that stands out. Sampath’s character feels like it was added just for a few scenes and wasn’t necessary. There are other characters like this that don’t really add much value to the plot.

Overall, the film is a one-time watch, and the first half is definitely more enjoyable than the second half.
