The cute and vivacious tollywood actress Charmy Kaur   celebrates her 26th birthday today. The actress who is known to light up the screen with her charmy was born into a Punjabi-Sikh family on the 17th of May in the year 1987. Although she is a Punjabi, she was born and brought up in the village of Vasai which lies in the north of Mumbai. Charmy made her tollywood debut in the year 2002 with the movie Nee thodu Kavali at the tender age of 15. The movie although was not successful, got her recognition and she was cast in a couple of tamil movies which did not do very well in box office either. She then came back to tollywood where she acted in movies like Sri Anjaneyam, Chanti and Gowri which fared averagely in the box office but established her as a leading female star in the tollywood.

Some of Charmy’s movies for which tollywood audiences will remember her are ‘Anukokunda oka roju’, ‘Pournami’, ‘Chukkallo Chandrudu’, ‘Rakhi’, ‘Mantra’ and ‘Kavya’s diary’. She gained huge popularity for her dance to the tunes of the song ‘Maha Maha’ of the movie Mantra. For her performance in the movies Anukokunda oka roju and Mantra, she won the Nandi and the CineMAA awards.She recently appeared in the movies Damarukam and Naayak in item songs with amazing dance performances which had the audiences mesmerized.
