Committee Kurrollu is 2024 Telugu drama movie, produced by Niharika Konidela, starring Sandeep Saroj, Yaswanth Pendyala, Eshwar Rachiraju, Trinadh Varma, Prasad Behara, Manikanta Parasu, Lokesh Kumar Parimi, Shyam Kalyan, Raghuvaran, Shiva Kumar Matta, Akshay Srinivas, Raadhya, Tejaswi Rao, Teena Sravya, Vishika, Shanmukhi Nagumanthri.
Story
A group of childhood friends from a close knit village in West Godavari got into a fight after a disparity in getting engineering seats, due to caste reservation. This fight results in a split like never before in this closely knit village, which results in an accidental death of one the friends during their village festival. The ramifications of this event and how the friends reconcile form the rest of the story.
Review
The film starts off slow and shows us the sweet childhood of this group of friends, them growing through their puberty and finally hitting the age to join a college. It’s all very authentically shot and will be extremely relatable for people from the Godavari region but other people might find it a bit boring.
The cinematography is excellent. The direction is creative at few scenes but amateur in few scenes. The huge village fights are loud and while they feel real, it’s unpleasant to hear them scream at the top of their voices for so long.
The music is good.
Verdict
It’s a good movie with it’s flaws but is able to connect emotionally. Can give it a one time watch.
