Devadasu Telugu movie completes 60 Years (26.06.1953)

Devadasu is a memorable movie of Akkineni Nageswara Rao in his acting Career. This Black&White movie can be termed as the best movie of Evergreen actor ANR. This was made on the Bengali Novel by Sharath Chandra. Samudrala Raghavacharya has penned for the Telugu version. Akkineni Nageswara Rao has lived in the character of Devadasu. Actress Savitri well supported as Parvathi. S V Ranga Rao, Peketi Sivram, C S R Anjaneyulu, R Nageswara Rao, Sitaram,Lalitha were in the main support cast.Popular producer, director B S Ranga was the cinematographer for the movie.

Director Vedantham Raghavaiah to be given full marks for making the Movie Devadasu a memorable eye treat. C R Subbaraman was the music director and few songs of the movie were tuned by his assistants Vishwanathan – Rama Murthy.Samudrala Raghava Charya has penned excellent Lyrics for the movie.The songs of the movie are still evergreen.Ghantasala,Jikki,K Rani were the singers for Subba Raman tunes. The same movie was dubbed in to Tamil and was a hit.
