Malayalam Film Marco Breaks Records and Secures OTT Deal
The Malayalam film Marco, known for its intense violence and striking visuals, is taking the cinema world by storm. Starring Unni Mukundan, this action-packed blockbuster has grossed over ₹115 crores at the box office, making it the first A-rated Malayalam film to surpass the ₹100 crores milestone.
Recently, there were speculations that Netflix had acquired the digital rights for this gripping drama. However, the filmmakers have denied these rumors. In a thrilling development, it has now been confirmed that Sony LIV has secured the post-theatrical streaming rights for Marco at an impressive price. This deal marks the highest OTT agreement ever in the Mollywood film industry, although the exact streaming date has not yet been announced.
With the Kannada release of Marco approaching, fans may experience a slight delay in its digital premiere. Directed by Haneef Adeni and produced by Shareef Muhammed under the Cubes Entertainment banner, the film boasts a strong supporting cast, including Siddique, Jagadish, Abhimanyu S Thilakan, Kabir Duhan Singh, Anson Paul, and Yukti Tareja. The captivating musical score is composed by Ravi Basrur.
