Pavan Sadineni A Cup of Coffee With The Aspiring Director Pavan Sadineni.  

Pavan Sadineni is the debutant director in Tollywood. Earlier he did many “Short Films”, But he is being introduced to the Telugu audience as a director with the movie “Prema Ishq Kadhal”, produced by Mr. Bekkam Venugopal under ‘Lucky Media’ banner. Our team has shared his experiences as a director on 6th June 2013.

 

Q. Tell us About yourself and your family?

I  hail from Vijayawada.  I was born on 25th of May 1987 My Zodiac Sign is Gemini. My dad, Mr.S.V.Ramana is a builder and my mother S.Lakshmi runs a Boutique. I completed my schooling at Siddartha School, Vijayawada and did my B.Tech in J.B.I.T. Hyderabad. Later I did my M.S.(Computer Science) in U.S.A. I worked in Apple company as “Software Developer” in U.S.A.

Q. What made you to do the short Films and have you done any film course?

Basically, Since Childhood I am interested in Movies and my ambition was to work as an Associate Director to Mani Ratnam. I heard that one should have a Post Graduation Degree to work with Mani Ratnam Garu and even I was really inspired by the movie “Vennela” released in the year 2005 and went abroad for my higher studies. I have done an internship from a film school. My passion towards movies and I used to write many stories ,this made me to direct Short Films.

Q. How many short films you directed and which one is the first one and which made you popular ?

I directed nearly 10 short films and “Toorpu Padamara” was the first one. I even acted in my own short film ‘Love-Formula 31 ‘ and ‘Interview’ was the most hit which gained me popularity and it got nearly 10,00,000 views on You Tube. I made 6 short films while I was in U.S.

Q.How did you get this opportunity ?

Mr. Bekkam Venugopal saw my short films and he gave me a call and told me that he was searching for a new and aspiring director for his new project. I accepted it. I worked with the 3 heroes of this film in my three different short films. With Vishnu- Bewars, with Harish-Lost and with Harshavardhan Rane-Infinty.

Q.How is it different for young and debutants directors like you to work with debutant artists and senior artists?

Yes it makes difference because we can ask the debutants to act again and again till we get a good shot and it will be little difficult to say the same thing to the senior most artists. I am really enjoying my directions with all these youngsters. The cinematographer Mr. Kartihk Gattamaneni is my cousin. Working with all these people is really fun.

Q. Do you write your scripts and screenplay?

I write the story ,dialogues to my films and even do the screenplay , but Caitu the lyricist did the screenplay for the movie “Prema ishq Kadhal”. Mr. Trivikram sir gave compliments for my dialogues.

Q which directors inspire you?

Mr. Christopher Nolan, Hollywood director , Mani Ratnam Sir and S.S.Rajamouli Sir. In my childhood I was very much interested in working under Mani Ratnam Sir. I like their direction very much and even B.N.Reddy Garu of olden days.

Q. Your favorite Hero and heroine?

I am a big fan of Mahesh Babu and Bhoomika Chawla is my favorite heroine.

Q.Did you select the whole team of “Prema Ishq Kadhal”?

Yes, everyone is of my choice and co-incidentally I have worked with the three heroes in my short films.

Q. Your other interests apart from movies?

Apart from movies I love cricket very much I used to play in district levels. My favorite cricketer is Sachin Tendulkar.

Q. With which cameras you direct your pictures?

These days most of the directors are preferring Digital Cameras, even i prefer digital cameras for film making.

Q. What about the publicity of the film?

These days publicity through social networking sites became a common thing and even it is free of cost and even theater trailers are also screened free of cost.

Q. As a director are you comfortable working with this team?

Working with everyone in this team is comfortable and I am enjoying each and every moment of the shooting.

Q. Your favorite holiday spot?

I want to have an Euro Trip.

Q.Your Favorite Movie?

“Gundama Katha” is my all time favorite movie.

Q. Your hobbies?
