L R Easwari, a popular singer was born at Chennai on 7^th of December 1939. Her mother was a Chorus singer. In childhood she used accompanies her mother for recordings. She developed a passion for singing. She is a very popular singer in south Indian films. She has an highpitched sweet tone. Most of her songs are for dance sequences. Her popular song was Varayum tozhi varayo manapandal kaga varayo in the film Pasamalar. The same song in telugu is “Bangaru bomma raveme panditlo pelli jarigene sung by P Susila.

This song became so popular that this is a must for every marriage in South India played by Nadaswaram party. She did playback for many Telugu films.
