Shanmugham, known affectionately as Benz, lives a contented life as a taxi driver in the hill town of Ranni, cherishing his black Ambassador car above all possessions. A former cinema stuntman haunted by a tragic accident that claimed his best friend's life, he has found peace in his simple existence with wife Lalitha and their children.
