Operation Valentine Trailer Review

The makers of “Operation Valentine” have released the movie trailer. As it’s a bilingual film, Ram Charan unveiled the Telugu trailer, while Salman Khan did the honors for the Hindi version. The trailer offers glimpses of aerial combat sequences, reminiscent of “Top Gun” and Hrithik’s recent movie “Fighter.”

While war backdrop movies aren’t new to Tollywood, aerial action is a fresh addition. However, the question arises: how well will the audience receive it, given the lukewarm response to similar movies in the past, like the recently released “Fighter”?

The trailer hints at a familiar narrative—a protagonist with a haunting past, brave, gritty, and confident. There are also glimpses of romance between IAF officer Arjun Das and Radar officer Sonal, played by Manushi Chhillar. Set against the real backdrop of the Pulwama attack, Kashmir, Arjun Das and his crew are tasked with delivering a resolute response to the adversaries.

Although the trailer seems routine, the team revealed at the trailer launch event that there’s an undisclosed aspect of the Pulwama attack known only to officials, which they plan to reveal in the film. They’ve urged audiences to watch the movie in theaters to learn more.

Directed by debutant Shakti Pratap Singh Hada and produced by Sony Pictures and Renaissance Pictures, this action thriller stars Varun Tej and Manushi Chhillar in lead roles, with Ruhani Sharma, Navadeep, and others in supporting roles. The film’s music is composed by Mickey J. Meyer, cinematography by Hari K. Vedantam, and editing by Naveen Nooli. “Operation Valentine” hits theaters on March 1st, 2024.
