Revathi
Actress Revathi was born on 8th July 1966 at kochi, Kerala. As an actress and director she has made immense contribution to the south Indian cinema. “Revathi” came from a respectable family in Kerala, Her father being a Major in the Indian Defense Service. “Revathi” was introduced to Tamil screen by the talented director “Bharathiraja” in the female lead role in his tamil film “Mann Vasanai”. This talented south actress performed in many serious message oriented roles with high standard expression. She has acted in south Indian language as well in few hindi movies. Most of her Telugu films are dubbed versions from tamil. She made her entry into telugu film field with the movie “Seethamma Pelli” released in the year 1984.Gayam 2 is her latest telugu film.

Her first directional venture is the English film” Mr. My Friend. She bagged the best Director award for this film at 49th Indian Film Award function. For the film “Mitr. My friend” all the technical departments were handled by women. As a director of her hindi film “Phir milenge” she dealt the subject AIDS.
