Hero Nikhil who gained nationwide fame with Karthikeya 2 will be joining forces with director Bharat Krishnamachari for his milestone 20th movie. Titled Swayambhu, Bhuvan and Sreekar will produce the movie under Pixel Studios with Tagore Madhu presenting it. While the title Swayambhu alone generated lots of curiosity, the title poster that showed the sacred Sengol made everyone inquisitive to know more about the project. Then, the first-look poster that presented Nikhil as a ferocious warrior received an overwhelming response.

The makers chose an auspicious occasion of Shravana Shukravaram to hold a grand launching ceremony. The opening has been organized in a majestic manner in the presence of the films entire team and special guests. Dil Raju switched on the camera, while Allu Aravind sounded the clapboard. Lyricist Ramajogayya Sastry directed the first shot. Chadalavada Srinivas Rao handed over the script to the makers. Producers Abhishek Agarwal, Sithara Naga Vamsi, and Damodar Prasad too attended the event.
