Troubles at Santosham Film Awards 2023: A Bumpy Night in Goa

The Santosham Film Awards 2023, organized by Suresh Kondeti and his team in Goa on December 2, took an unexpected turn, leaving attendees and the Kannada film industry disappointed and inconvenienced. The event, meant to celebrate achievements in the film industry, started well but faced a sudden halt when it was time for the Kannada film industry to receive awards.
Abruptly, the lights were turned off as soon as Ramesh Aravind, a well-known figure in the Kannada film industry, took the stage. This surprising move led to the departure of the anchor, and organizers asked Kannada actors to leave, creating a sudden change in the atmosphere.
Adding to the chaos, many attendees, including actors, were left without accommodations. Shockingly, some faced difficulties checking out of their hotels as the organizers hadn’t paid the bills and had locked the rooms. This lack of planning left many in a challenging situation after the awards ceremony concluded.
In response to the incident, Suresh Kondeti released an apology note. He explained that the Santosham Awards had been his personal initiative for the past 21 years and had no connection with the Telugu film industry. Kondeti acknowledged a communication gap during the event, especially in arranging accommodations for around 1200 celebrities.
Despite facing criticism, he expressed that the mistakes happened unintentionally due to the challenges of organizing a large-scale event. Kondeti apologized sincerely for any inconvenience caused and requested understanding and support from the public. He emphasized that his intentions were always positive and aimed at the betterment of the industry.
To further address the situation, Allu Arvind, another prominent figure, distanced himself from any involvement in the incident. In a press meeting, he clarified that he was not part of any heroes from the mega family regarding the award function.

The incident highlights the importance of careful planning and effective communication in organizing significant events, pointing towards the need for improvements to avoid similar issues in the future.
