Vamsi was born at Pasalapudi village in East Godavari district of A P. His passion towards cinema made him an assistant director to Great director K Vishwanath. He worked with K Vishwanath as an assistant for films like “Sankarabharanam“. His direct venture as Director was the film “Manchupallaki” with actress Suhasini, Chiranjeevi and Rajendra Prasad in Lead Roles, released in the year 1982.He came to limelight as director with the Film “Sithara” through which he has introduced actress Bhanupriya.
