Superstar Rajinikanth and director Shankar have  together given consecutive blockbusters Sivaji and Robo. The latest buzz is that they are currently in last stages of finalizing their 3^rd venture together. Rajinikanth and Shankar have been meeting a number of times during the last couple of months. The word is that Shankar narrated the story outline to Rajnikanth and got it approved.

As ‘Kochadaiyaan’ release is scheduled for the end of 2013 or Pongal 2014 , Rajnikanth is starting to make plans for his next movie beginning April 2014 as soon as Shankar wraps up ‘I’ his latest movie starring Vikram.. And Icing to the venture is that Shankar is planning to sign up Madhuri Dixit Nene to be the leading lady opposite Rajnikanth and music is by A. R. Rahman. So this is going to be a star-studded venture.
