KALPIKA, a young & dynamic actress who made her debut from the movie “PRAYANAM”, is already to roll in her upcoming flick “It’s My Love Story”.
Kalpika is a resident of Hyderabad with her parents Ganesh (government Employee), Indumati (home maker) and an Elder Brother.
Here are the glimpses of her interview that was conducted near the film set of the movie in Hyderabad:
Brief us about yourself?
I am a resident of Hyderabad with my father Ganesh (government Employee), mother Indumati (home maker) and an Elder Brother. I did my schooling from “Gautam High School”. After that I completed my graduation from Bhavans College, Hyderabad.
I even pursued one year course in multimedia and worked as an employee at “Value Labs”, Hitech City.
I started my career with “Prayanam” movie and was nominated for best supporting actress in south filmfare awards’10. My recent movies were Namovenkatesa, Omshanti, and Orange, in which I played supporting roles.
My upcoming movies are “It’s My Love Story” and “Sri RamaRajyam”
How you spend your free time?
I love spending time at home with my friends and family. I love cooking, singing, and I play Table Tennis a lot.
If given a chance, with whom you would like to act with?
Well, I would love to work with Nagarjuna, Mahesh Babu. They are really great actors. Actually I want to work with all the experienced actors.
Who are your favorite actresses?
There is no one as favorite for me in Tollywood, but in Bollywood I like Kajol Devgan and Sridevi. They are adorable.
How you want to frame your future?
I want to become a Director. Everyone is making love and action movies these days but I have a different mindset. I want to direct movies which give a Social message to the society.
Before signing a movie what things you look upon?
Well I generally go through the script & the role which is offered to me. I like to experiment myself with different kind of roles. I don’t want to sign a movie in which I have to expose or to do item numbers.
What is your role in “It’s My Love Story”?
Once again I am playing a supporting role in this movie. My character is “Archana”, cousin of Vandana (Nikitha Narayan). I play character “Archana” cousin of “Vandana”(nikita), who had a love marriage but gets divorced due to lots of misunderstandings and ego clashes. And how my character influences vandana’s love life every step.
Can you share any memorable experiences, while in shoot for this movie?
On the first day of the shoot I was asked to deliver a lengthy dialogue according to the scene. Though I was little nervous, I managed to give my best in first shot itself. I was very happy with that & it gave me lots of confidence.
What kind of movies you’re looking to sign up in future?
I’m very passionate about Dancing & would like to act in dance oriented movies and that too with a lead role. Apart from this I want to experiment myself on screens with different characters.
How you dream about your life partner, that how he should be?
It’s not a compulsion that he must be rich, but he should be kind hearted by nature. He must take care of me a lot.
