Grand Launch of Commercial Courtroom Drama DueDate
The inaugural ceremony of the commercial courtroom drama Due Date was held in a grand manner on Wednesday in Hyderabad in the presence of several prominent personalities from the Telugu film industry.
Well-known Telugu film journalist and PRO Eluru Srinu is making his debut as a producer with Due Date, alongside producer Pawan Tarigopula. The film is being produced under the Varshish Studios banner and directed by Anand K.
The muhurat shot featuring lead actors Lomesh Pudipeddi and Jshree, along with key cast members Praneeth Patnaik and Vignani, was ceremonially launched. Acclaimed director Maruthi sounded the clapboard for the opening shot, while successful producer Bunny Vas switched on the camera. Producers SKN, Dheeraj Mogilineni, and Vamsi Nandipati, who have recently delivered several successful films, handed over the script to the director.
The launch event was attended by directors Vijay Kanakamedala and VI Anand, along with several other filmmakers and producers from the industry.
Speaking on the occasion, the producers revealed that Due Date is a commercial courtroom drama inspired by a contemporary burning issue. They said the film will offer an engaging and edge-of-the-seat narrative from start to finish. According to them, everything—from the title to every element of the film—has been designed to provide audiences with freshness, compelling storytelling, and complete entertainment. They also announced that the regular shooting of the film will commence soon.
