Ramayya Vasthavayya

If you have seen Ramayya Vasthavayya, you would agree that it would seem like just another ordinary movie until Ammulu, Shruti Haasan’s character makes an entry. With a personality that is markedly different from the stereotypical Tollywood heroines, Ammulu was the life and soul of Ramayya Vasthavayya and Shruti Haasan, who has improved substantially in her acting skills and is looking her best ever, carried it off very well.

The gorgoeus Hasan girl plays a confident, revolutionary  and loving girl who goes off to the city to finish her education and comes back to her village, taking responsibility to improve the conditions in her hometown. The actress is dressed in simple outfits like a t-shirt and denims through out the movie, yet manages to bring about a pleasant charm of her own to the role. In the song Neneppudaina though, the actresses’ long gowns and lovely sarees beautifully designed.

Although the time for which Shruti appears in the movie is comparatively lesser, she manages to create an impact with her role on the audiences especially when it comes to an end in the second half of the movie when she gets killed by the bad guys. In a recent interview with the media, Shruti Haasan was heard saying that she thinks her role although small, is a very memorable and important role that tolly audiences will remember for a very long time, and we couldn’t agree more with that!
