The movie introduces Sai Tej and Veda Jalandharr as the lead pair. Set against a rural backdrop, the period suspense drama is gearing up for a theatrical release on April 17.
Muniraju revealed that becoming a director had always been his dream. After working in online editing to earn a livelihood, he returned to his village and shot a demo using local people. Later, he met Kiran Abbavaram during the shoot of Meter. After watching the demo and hearing the script, Kiran encouraged him to develop it into a feature film, which eventually became Thimmarajupalli TV.
The director shared that the story is inspired by incidents from his childhood and rooted in real-life experiences. The film explores village life, human emotions, and ego, while also portraying the impact of television arriving in rural areas. He added that audiences above 40 would strongly relate to the nostalgic setting, while Gen Z viewers will experience a fresh and unseen world.
Shot in real locations in the Rayalaseema region, the film was extensively filmed in Munirajuβs native village, Thimmarajupalli. The songs were also captured in and around the same locations, enhancing authenticity. The director emphasized that he opted for a realistic filmmaking approach, aiming to keep the narrative natural and grounded.
Muniraju also revealed that the film features actors from various districts across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, including artists from theatre backgrounds such as Surabhi. He highlighted that every character plays an important role and that the performances of both the lead pair and supporting cast will impress audiences.
Technically, the film has been made with high-quality standards including Atmos sound design. The director added that the movie features long single-take sequences lasting six to seven minutes, which will offer a unique cinematic experience. With strong emotional content and gripping suspense, Thimmarajupalli TV aims to leave audiences with a lasting impact when it hits theatres.
